Probing methods:

  • TCP Open Port Check: Verifies whether a specified TCP port is open and accessible on the server.
  • ICMP Ping: Tests basic connectivity and measures latency to the target server.
  • DNS Resolution: Resolves domain names and retrieves all A (IPv4), AAAA (IPv6), and PTR (reverse DNS) records for the domain.
  • Traceroute: Analyzes the path that packets take to reach the target server, helping identify routing issues and blockages.
